About Martial Arts
About JinMuDo

JinMuDo literally means "The Real martial way" or the "True Martial Way." At the Martial Arts Training Center, we incorporate many aspects of different martial arts while "trimming the fat" from traditional out of date techniques that have no bearing in modern self defense. JinMudo uses striking techniques from Taekwondo, Karate, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and western boxing; grappling techniques from Brazilian Jui Jitsu, Judo and wrestling; joint locks from Hapkido; and weapons training from Kali. It is a system whose goal is to form a complete martial artist rather than a one dimensional one. Similar to MMA, JinMudo is an art combining traditional and modern forms of self defense. JinMudo also teaches us that there are several areas in life that we must protect. If any of these areas are not balanced, our life can quickly become out of balance and we may make poor decisions that put ourselves and our loved ones at risk:

The Seven Virtues
Heroic Courage
Honesty and Sincerity
Duty and Loyalty

As Martial Artists we try to live by these virtues. Being a Christian Martial Arts school we also try to live by Christ's example believing as he said that to "Love your God with all your heart and with all your mind and with all your soul, and to Love your neighbor as yourself are the most important rules to live by. Children are taught to have respect for their families by cleaning their rooms, doing things the first time they are told, learning their parents birthdays, etc.
